welcome to payahuunadü

Payahuunadü is the original place name for the Eastern Sierra.

It means “the land of flowing water.”

We believe that being fully informed on the past, present, and future conditions of water will better equip our communities to advocate for a better water future. Water is life, and the well-being of all depends on protecting and stewarding our watershed. Join us as we explore ‘what happened to the water’ and work towards a shared vision of the future of Payahuunadü.

Stay tuned we will be announcing events soon!

The Revealing Payahuunadü website and program is under development. We look forward to collaborating with the community and invite your feedback, input, or ideas. Please get in touch with our Water Empowerment Organizers to share your thoughts.
